A relative of ginger, this vivid yellow-orange spice is common in Indian, Southeast Asian, and Middle Eastern cooking has been used as medicine in places like India for centuries. Lately, turmeric has been used as a superfood that can fight cancer, ease depression, keep blood sugar levels steady, fight inflammation (which helps against Alzheimer's), fight virus and bacterias, help with breathing problems, arthritis and more.
The root of the ginger plant has been a traditional remedy in many cultures for thousands of years. It can help with upset stomach, nausea, aid digestion, fight virus and bacteria as well. There's strong evidence that ginger may ease osteoarthritis pain, Rheumatoid arthritis, Muscle and joint pain, headache and, so much more.
Burdock is a wonderful herb, also considered a vegetable, is known for its numerous health benefits which include, aiding in digestion, detoxifying the liver, and balancing hormones. It is also good for improving skin quality, reducing inflammation, and lowering blood pressure. Burdock root is a powerhouse when it comes to the nutrition profile. According to USDA it provides energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fiber. Amongst minerals, it contains calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and selenium. It is a good source of vitamins that include vitamin C, B vitamins, choline, vitamin E and vitamin K. Wait! There is more! It also provides amino acids that include the following: Aspartic acid, Glutamic acid, Arginine, Proline and Lysine!
Triphala, also known as Triphala churna, is an age-old Ayurvedic herbal powder which helps cleanse the colon, smoothen the digestive system, and boost overall health. Triphala is a Sanskrit word that means “three fruits” - given that this herbal powder is a blend of three different dried fruits – Indian gooseberry or amla (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). The three dried fruits are ground and mixed together, usually in equal parts. This what makes the powder potent in antioxidants because these three fruits have long played an important part in Ayurvedic medicine.

This feel-good herb has also been shown in studies that it may reduce inflammation.

Cloves are one of the spices indigenous to Asian countries like Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and even areas of East Africa and cloves offer many health benefits, some of which include aiding in digestion, fighting against cancer, protecting the liver, boosting the immune system, controlling diabetes, and preserving bone quality. They also contain anti-mutagenic and anti-microbial properties, along with fighting against oral diseases and headaches, while also displaying aphrodisiac properties.
Nutmeg is a popular spice with a long list of health benefits, including the ability to relieve pain, indigestion, insomnia, and improve brain function. It extends its ability to provide hepatic protection, relieve depression, improve cholesterol levels, regulate blood pressure levels, and alleviate oral conditions.
The most important health benefits of allspice include its ability to act as a pain reliever, increase circulation, protect the gastrointestinal system, improve mood, boost the immune system, eliminate fungal infections, lower blood pressure, and reduce inflammation.

Here is the recipe to make your own Latte!
Healing Golden Chai Recipe:
1 Cup of Turmeric Powder
2 Tbsp. Ginger Powder
2 Tbsp. Burdock Root Powder/chunks
1 Tbsp. Triphala Powder
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon Powder
1 Tsp. Cardamon Powder or seeds
1 Tsp. Clove Powder or buds
1 Tsp. Nutmeg Powder
1 Tsp. Allspice Powder
- Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender. Your may want to sift the blended mix to remove any large chunks (if there is any). Now your Healing Golden Chai mix is ready! Store it in a mason jar. No need to refrigerate.
How to prepare a cup latte:
- Heat up 8 oz of any milk of choice on medium-low.
- Add 1 Tsp. of the Chai mix and stir well.
- Serve in a cute mug and Enjoy!
If you want a cold latte...
- As an alternative to hot latte, just blend 1 cup of cold milk, 1 tsp. of chai mix and 1 tsp. coconut oil in a blender and blend for one minute. The coconut oil helps our body assimilate the nutrients and benefits from turmeric.
